Press

"Fuzz-pedals, synths, and lively vocals give their music the power to feel like an escape.”

- WERS

"Dutch Tulips brought their unique indie rock sound to a very excited and packed house.”

Boston Calling Feature

- Boston Magazine

“Double Visions [is] 12 tracks of fuzzed-out power pop, hooky melodies, and chords strummed with audible verve. It’s a blast to listen to, but that’s not to say the album doesn’t have anything on its mind.”

-Allston Pudding

“A great ‘90s alt sounding rocker in the vein of The Hives meets Superdrag. Very slick production and super catchy “do-doo’s” help this stick in your head. It definitely has influence from Fountains Of Wayne, Weezer but you can hear the 70’s Ramones and NY Dolls influence as well. A catchy track!”

-Blood Makes Noise

"infectious and fun fuzzy jangle rock"

- The Deli

"jangle-pop smarts dancing around a fidgety bloom of guitar hooks"

- Vanyaland

"The self-titled marvel is a four-track exhibition of poppy hooks and satiating rhythms that feel so clean and polished it’s difficult not to put the album on repeat."

- Vanyaland

"...earnest, straightforward and totally infectious especially if you listen to it while holding a beer."

- American Pancake

“Dutch Tulips proved to be the most refreshing act on Saturday’s lineup”

- Sound of Boston

“Dutch Tulips brings fuzzy pop rock to Boston Calling”

- WGBH (Boston's NPR)

“It absolutely slaps.”

-indie617’s Pelvis Costello

“Double Visions is a breezy, upbeat and relentlessly cheery exploration of emptiness, and as such, it's the sort of album that kind of haunts the listener for a while."

-Worcester Magazine

“Double Visions carries an undeniable air of renewal… the record captures the ecstasy of throwing open a dusty window on the first day of spring — over and over again, track after track, each one a bit more uplifting than the last. Double Visions testifies that yes, it’s still possible to pack organic vigor into music that’s also radio-ready.”

-Vanyaland

"electrical and elevating"

- Turn Up the Volume

Every Band for Gun Safety

- DigBoston

"a vivacious, effervescent tune with high energy melodies and an easy going vibe that will put you in a good mood almost instantaneously."

BIO

Dutch Tulips are an indie rock band from Boston, MA.

The band exploded onto the scene with their debut album “Double Visions”. Following its release, the band was nominated for two Boston Music Awards and played the 2022 Boston Calling music festival with artists like Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, and Run the Jewels.

From touring around the country, to playing festivals, to recording in a 200 year old church, the band has always had the simple goal of connecting with people through their music. This can take the form of writing songs about mental health or taking the time to get to know fans after a show, but ultimately, the band clearly loves what they do and are only just getting started.

Dutch Tulips are currently recording their next album and released the first single, "Gold Chain" in August 2023.

Dutch Tulips are:

Jack Holland - Guitar / Lead Vocals

Michael Holland - Bass / Vocals

Justin Mantell - Guitar / Synth / Vocals

Matt Freake - Drums / Vocals
